The sunshine against the brick wall make these pictures look like it was a warm day, but it was pretty chilly! I returned home from shooting with numb fingers and toes. Nevertheless it was beautiful and I was glad to finally get some vitamin D after a long winter.

Anyway, onto the outfit! I was very inspired by this street style image on Pinterest and had to recreate it. I absolutely love the jumper I am wearing, especially how the cropped sleeves balance out the long line shape and super high neck. It adds a bit of much needed colour in my wardrobe. I have wanted a midi skirt forever, so finally decided to pick one up. I love how easily it can be dressed up or down. I kept accessories simple with my new cross body bag and almond toed heeled boots, which I also wore in this post.

Let me know what you thought of this ensemble and what are you most excited to wear for Spring?

STREET STYLE: The Knit Co-ord

If I heard the phrase "knit co-ord" a couple of years ago, I probably would have pulled a face and thought frumpy. But now I can't think of anything cooler. I have a pair of flared knit trousers (sound awful, don't they?) that I wear the crap out of and wish there was a matching long line top. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to buy a new knit co-ord, perhaps with a skirt? It's not often that fashion forward pieces are comfortable and it's perfect for the current weather in the UK.

Anyway, I created a Pinterest board dedicated to knitted street style and thought I'd share my favourites - enjoy!

So, is the knit co-ord a love or a hate for you?

NEW IN: Suede Cross Body Bag

accessories, chain bag, zara, fashion blogger, style, high streetzara, chain bag, accessories, fashion blogger, high streetzara chain bag, high street, fashion blogger, accessories, metal feather detail

I've started seeing cross body bags featured in outfit posts from my favourite bloggers, and in street style shots on Pinterest. Soon enough it felt like there was something missing when I styled my own outfits. So when I came across this beauty from Zara I had to have it!

I love the chain strap and the metal feather detail on the clasp of the bag. It's made out of a soft suede but is sturdy enough to maintain it's shape. It is quite small - probably only big enough to fit a cardholder, iPhone and lipstick - perfect for a night out or a lunch date. I am guilty of carrying around huge totes with loads of bits that I might need inside. I find small bags force me to reevaluate what I actually need to lug around, and the result is freeing.

I can't wait to work it into my outfits - watch this space!

WISH LIST | March 2016

fashion blogger, lingerie, saint laurent boots, topshop, home, kurt geiger bag, asos, weekday jeans

It's finally March! The last couple of months have been a little hard, with being a student and scrimping on heating and all. My hot water bottle has been an absolute lifesaver in this cold weather - I'd definitely recommend buying one for any students-to-be. I'm hoping the start of this month means milder weather and the chance to wear spring fashion. I love my faux fur, but I'm desperate to don a pair of cropped trousers and a light jacket.

Anyway, onto the wish list! The first item is one I have been eyeing up for a while now, and are these croc-effect boots from Saint Laurent. We all know that no one can have enough pairs of black boots and this pair are absolutely stunning. They are a Chelsea boot style, but are slightly longer, giving a nod to the sock boot trend. They are the perfect heel height for daytime and the croc-effect leather adds something subtly special to them.

Next up is this triangle bra from Topshop. The retailer has been stepping up their lingerie game recently, with more unique pieces like the one above, and a refurbished lingerie section in their Oxford Circus store. This bra stood out to me because I adore the floral embroidery that beautifully covers the nipple area and the sheer black material it is made out from. The delicate double straps are a nice touch and it is front fastening, making for a smooth back.

This cushion cover from H&M Home needs to be on my bed ASAP! I love the leaf print and it's monochrome, which fits in with my colour scheme (btw it comes in green and yellow as well). It's also super affordable, being H&M, so it may have to be my next purchase!

I have been on the hunt for a pretty notebook, because I'm low on pages in my current one and I need it to be aesthetically pleasing to inspire me to write in it (and neatly). This cut mineral design from Ohh Deer is beautiful and is A4 sized so is perfect for my uni notes. It's even held together with gold staples!

My obsession with pink is only growing, so when I saw this bag from Kurt Geiger in the perfect shade it had to go on the list. I love it's simple, clean shape and can be worn cross-body or in the nook of an arm. It's nice and spacious as well so can fit the ridiculous amount of stuff I like to carry around with me.

Next is this lip pencil from MAC. I was in the Carnaby Street store the other day and naturally was covering my hand in swatches. This burnt, intense red shade stood out to me and lasted a lot longer on my hand than the lipsticks. I've never tried out MAC lip pencils before so I'd love to see how it wears on a night out.

I had been describing the perfect pair of cropped kick flare jeans to my housemates, because I was sure I had seen a pair on Pinterest or Vogue or somewhere. My internet searches were throwing up flared mom jeans (will be sooo unflattering on me) and ruffles (wasn't my thing either). I was beginning to think that I'd made them up, before one of my housemates messaged me a link to this pair from Weekday on ASOS. They are exactly what I had been looking for, in the perfect shade of faded black. Who knows if they will look good on me, but they look damn fine on the model.
