YOUNG HUNGRY FREE closely knitted dress | TOBI moment of truth dress | UO cloud shelf | KIKO retractable lip brush | ALL SAINTS fleur de lis cross body bag | MAC lipstick in stone
October has arrived and yes, this post is up on the 1st (keen) because I just have been itching to do a wish list! I've finally managed to get a part time job, and university work is in full flow so I've been trying to stay afloat with it all. I want to keep posting regular blog posts but I don't know how hectic this semester will get, so I will do my best and keep you updated!
First on my wish list is this turtleneck dress from Young Hungry Free. It's perfect for Autumn, as the knit will keep you snug, as will the high neck. I'd pair it with tights, heeled boots and a leather jacket for a stylish daytime look, perhaps for a guest speaker talk at uni.
Next up is another dress, this time from Tobi. Isn't the detailing on the back gorgeous? I'd wear it with flat ankle boots and a hat, perhaps adding my House of Holland suspender tights to toughen it up and add warmth for those chilly October nights.
This cloud shelf from Urban Outfitters is incredible. It's currently sold out and I can see why. Not only is it useful as a shelf, but it doubles as a piece of wall art. I'd love to put a potted cactus, a couple of hardbacks and perhaps an inspirational print in it. It would be lovely to wake up to this beauty on my wall.
As a hardcore bold lip lover, I have been meaning to buy a lip brush forever, as it would make putting on lipstick so much easier. Applying a deep purple straight from the bullet is stressful stuff! This Kiko lip brush was recommended by Lily Pebbles in her video on her favourite makeup brushes, and I trust her opinion. A big plus is that it is affordable and retractable, meaning I won't have streaks of MAC Rebel all over my makeup bag!
On the subject of lips, I had to include this new MAC lipstick shade, Stone. It was originally a lip pencil shade, which they brought out in bullet form and has been all over the blogosphere. Its a gorgeous brown shade, deeper in colour than those popularised last year by a certain Jenner, but still has that 90s appeal. I need it for Autumn/Winter but have an inkling that it will sell out fast!
Finally, I chose this leather cross body bag from All Saints. Sammi from BeautyCrush, wore the black version of it in a recent OOTD so naturally I clicked on the link. Upon discovering it comes in oxblood I was sold. I love the silver chain, and zips and the long tassels are so sleek. It has zipped pockets on the front and back, and is the perfect size for going out. The only problem is the price... Anyone want to treat a poor, struggling student?
