One trend that I have been eyeing up this season is the A line skirt. This piece is easily integrated into most wardrobes due to its femininity and simplicity. It can be worn for day (see street style above) and is easily transitioned for night. I also love how this style isn't at risk of flying up in the wind like a skater style or will rise up slowly as you walk (I'm looking at you, tube skirt).

A line skirts were seen on the SS15 catwalks, in varying styles and interesting textures. The eye is drawn to the front of the skirt with the use of zips or buttons. Firmer fabrics such as denim, suede and leather were favoured. Lengths also varied, from panty-skimming to midi style.
Whilst the skirts on the catwalk are gorgeous, I've scoured the high street to compile a wish list that is more budget-friendly.
TOPSHOP denim button front skirt | BOOHOO zip front skirt | ASOS utility pocket skirt | ZARA jacquard mini skirt | MISS SELFRIDGE suedette mini skirt
I'd tuck a casual white shirt into the denim skirt for a cute daytime look. For colder nights, I'd wear a poloneck top with the Zara or ASOS skirt. I'd pair the white zip front and red suedette skirts with a crop top, perhaps an off-the-shoulder piece.
What do you think of this trend? Will you be donning an A line skirt next time you go to the pub?
