So the annual Met Gala took place on Monday, introducing this year's exhibition, China: Through the Looking Glass. The Met Ball is arguably the biggest fashion event outside of fashion week, so naturally I was stalking it on Insta and Snapchat like the nerd I am.
Without further ado, here are my favourite looks of the night...
 |
Janelle Monáe |
Monáe looks magnificent here in this orient inspired three piece. The white piping highlights the exposed midriff and the cape adds drama.
 |
Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen |
The Olsen twins are pros at red carpet style and they lived up to their name on the night. I particularly like Mary-Kate's huge, shoulder-shrouding lapels.
 |
Amanda Seyfried |
Amanda looks stunning in this white Givenchy gown. Love the structured detailing and the flash of leg.
 |
Jamie Bochert |
This Marc Jacobs ensemble is to die for! Lingerie + feathers + sequins = perfection.
 |
Carey Mulligan |
Simple yet oh-so-chic, Carey looks divine in this custom Balenciaga.
 |
Xiao Wen Ju |
This is a highlight for me, Xiao's petite frame pulls off this Marc Jacobs ensemble perfectly. The combination of check, tulle and thigh highs make my inner style animal very happy.
 |
Cara Delevingne |
I've gone off Cara in the last year, but this Stella McCartney jumpsuit was too gorgeous to be left off the list. The tattoo-esque sleeves are a gorgeous addition.
Representing the bloggers, Chiara looked stunning in this gown by Calvin Klein. Being the first blogger to be invited to the Met Ball has its pressures, but Chiara pulled it off so elegantly.
 |
Beyoncé |
And last but definitely not least is Beyoncé. That Givenchy gown and that body are both to be envied... ALL HAIL QUEEN B
And no, I'm afraid I wasn't a fan of Rihanna's fashion moment, but I loved her performance of 'B*tch Better Have My Money'.
