Snapshot of Spring Couture 2015

Alas, couture week is over and after much gushing and lusting, I've chosen my favourite shows and summed them up in a sentence or two...

ARMANI PRIVÉ
Bamboo motifs, obi belts and dreamy fabrics

ATELIER VERSACE
Beautiful cuts, flowing shapes and a rock 'n' roll attitude

CHANEL

Monochrome, a lot of chiffon and hidden eyes... mystery

DIOR

Brightly striped pleats, unique yet flattering silhouettes and latex legs

ELIE SAAB

Saab is the master of the couture dress, this season he introduced feathers *swoon*

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI

Florals, net veils and tulle come together in homage to Coco Chanel and Janis Joplin

JEAN PAUL GAULTIER

Bridal, snakeskin and his signature corsetry

MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA

Drama and quirk with the return of a master designer at the helm

SCHIAPARELLI

Shocking pink setting, surrealist motifs, and floor skimming hems

VALENTINO

Russian and romantic (dresses were festooned with Shakespeare quotes)
